Office

Job Title: Controller
Description: The Controller has a direct and detailed interaction where budget operations are concerned. The Controller reports directly to the Owner on monthly operating expenses as to how those actual expenses compare to budgeted estimates or estimated budget costs. The Controller administers the internal controls within the organization and is responsible for financial accounting reporting and its interpretation and analysis. This is a challenging position that includes not only accounting and finance acumen but overall business strategy, management and human relations. Responsibilities • Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments. • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, Human Resources, and Operations etc. • Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records for Owners. • Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals. • Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary. • Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under highly competitive terms. • Interface with outside audit firms, banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agents, credit card companies, and collection agencies. • Report to the Owners when necessary in writing and verbally. • Supervise overall Operations (including: Safety, Security, Computer Services and Building Maintenance). Other duties as necessary Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance and Operations Departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Requirements • Bachelor Degree from four-year college or university; Master’s preferred and MBA a plus; five or more related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Finance and accounting background required. • Effective and persuasive presentation skills on controversial or complex topics to owners. • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis and probability statements. Controller must use the utmost discretion in all presentations/correspondence and communication for staff and owners. • Quickbooks experience required. • Highly organized, detail oriented. • Multi-tasking and problem solving skills • Team player. • Mathematical and analytical skills are required. • Ability to work accurately and well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.

Sales Department

Job Title: Sales Assistant/AutoCAD Specialist
Description: The Sales Assistant must maintain an effective working relationship with their assigned Sales Representative. They will play an integral role in assisting the Sales Representative through job estimates, drafting (two dimensional designs using AutoCAD 2004) and performing the marine construction drawings for docks, boatlifts, seawalls, etc. We are looking for a dedicated and detail oriented person who can work independently without a great deal of supervision. This is a unique position because you will interact and communicate with customers directly and will need to be detailed and analytical. Responsibilities • Current and prospective client interaction, phone, email or in person. • Prepare, review and coordinate estimates and AutoCAD drawings for projects. • Work with other departments to resolve client questions and/or issues. • Help maintain customer/prospect and sales files, along with other internal paperwork. • Keep Sales Representative informed of all business being conducted daily. • Responsible for assisting sales department with administrative duties. Support sales promotions and sales projects. • Coordinate various sales fulfillment duties including direct mail, packages, and letters. Requirements • College degree or technical school associate degree preferred • Must have AutoCAD experience • Strong Computer Knowledge, Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook) • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Strong Customer Service skills • Highly organized, detail oriented • Multi-tasking and problem solving skills • Team player • Mathematical and analytical skills are required • Ability to work accurately and well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines
