Brent Stokes Owner/General Manager
Brent started Stokes Marine, Inc. from his passion for the water and boating combined with his strong desire to be an entrepreneur. After five years of selling pharmaceuticals and earning several sales honors with Merck & Co. in Southwest FL, the time was right in the January of 2003! He resigned from Merck & Co., purchased a barge and crane and began building what is now Stokes Marine, Inc.
He completed high school at Fort Myers High and continued his education at the University of Florida where he graduated with a degree in Marketing. He learned a great deal about running a business and producing a quality product to last for many years to come from his parents who own and run Wyman Stokes Builder, Inc. a successful custom home building business out of Fort Myers FL. There is no question his desire to be a business owner stems from his parents.
As a waterfront property owner himself, he is aware of the difference a great marine improvement in the form of a dock and boat lift can make when it comes to enjoying your waterfront property and making the most out of your investment. As an avid fisherman and life time boater he has spent most of his time on the water either working or enjoying our great resource with family and friends.
Stokes Marine, Inc. was started with a strong commitment to designing and building a dock that will meet all the needs and exceed the expectations of our customers. This vision is what guides him while overseeing all the daily operations including earning your business during the bid process, double checking the quality and progress during construction, and ensuring successful inspection of your marine improvement.
Dominique Stokes Owner/Human Resources
Dominique has spent over 13 years in business prior to her arrival at Stokes Marine in March of 2012. She started her career in the Insurance Industry where she sold Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance for just over 2 years in Clearwater, FL. Upon her move to Fort Myers, she joined Enterprise Rent- A- Car and worked in various capacities over 11 years including Branch Manager at RSW Airport, Business Rental Sales Executive in Lee and Collier County, and Area Manager in both Fort Myers and Naples. She is particularly proud of the many teams she has developed to succeed in the areas of market penetration and growth, operational excellence and industry leading customer and account satisfaction and retention. Dominique has her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing from the University of Florida. Dominique spends her free time with her husband and 2 children doing things such as boating, family dinners, and gator football! Dominique’s primary goal at Stokes Marine is to take her passion for employee development and team building and provide for you the best overall experience, from the moment you call our office to completion of your marine project! She will also build upon the success of Stokes Marine through continuing and developing their Community Relations, PR, Marketing and Business Development.
Saraswattie Howard Operations Manager
Holding college degrees in multiple disciplines including Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) and Accounting, Sara is currently Stokes Marine’s longest tenured employee. Throughout her employment with Stokes Marine, with the exception of on-site sales, she has held every office position from CADD Technician to Permit Coordinator. Armed with a working knowledge of each position, she establishes and implements office policies, procedures and organizational structure while monitoring short-term and long-range plans consistent with office profit and growth objectives. Sara actively participates in the growth and development of Stokes Marine by overseeing the daily operations of the office team as well as collaborating with the Construction Superintendent - the main goal is to foster communication in order to improve construction procedures and customer service. Sara serves as the liaison between the office/sales staff and the construction department. Closely reviewing the CAD drawings and accompanying documentation for design and material accuracy, Sara’s objective is to ensure our clients receive what they expected during the sales process. Leisure time is spent with her husband, two children, family and close friends participating in a variety of outdoor activities ranging from football to boating.
Tony Wallis Salesman
A 25 year veteran of S.W Florida, Tony is an accomplished fisherman and avid boater. His passion for the water connected him into the marine industry 15 years ago. His primary goal is to assist each customer in designing and building waterfront dreams without compromising on quality or customer service while being mindful of the customer's budget.
Sean Hearn Salesman
Born and raised in Florida, Sean enjoys any activity that involves being on the water. He recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Sean began his career at Stokes Marine as an AutoCAD Technician and now works in Sales. His primary goal is to assist each customer in taking full advantage of their waterfront property. Sean displays a passion for delivering a top quality customer experience while striving to provide each customer with practical solutions.
Matt Felton Construction Manager
Matt has been with Stokes Marine since August of 2011. He was promoted to Construction Manager in May of 2012. Matt has over ten years of experience in residential and commercial construction. He has the proven ability to interface with customers and installation crews to ensure each job is completed to the highest standard. Matt was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and enjoys the outdoors. He is an accomplished wrestler previously finishing second in the nation at the High School National Championship in the 135 lb weight class. He also enjoys spending his free time coaching kids.
Sally Gulmy Office Manager
Sally Gulmy brings to Stokes Marine, Inc. many years of construction management experience where she utilized her Degree in Building Construction Technology. She earned her degree and graduated with honors. She has lived in Southwest Florida for over 35 years and enjoys fishing, boating, horses and the outdoor lifestyle with her family. As Office Manager, Sally’s goal is to create a very organized, well functioning office with complete customer satisfaction. She strives to handle all accounting & permitting issues with precision.
Chris Whited Sales Assistant/CAD Specialist
Chris brings to Stokes Marine over 12 years of experience in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying designing residential and commercial projects. He earned his degree from Southwest Florida College in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. With his AutoCAD knowledge and skills he promises to provide a quick, precise, and quality design that not only looks and functions great but fits your waterfront living lifestyle and vision. Born and raised in Florida, Chris spends his free time with his son and enjoys anything outdoors, Soccer, and Bowling.
